  • My 2008 Ford Escape :)

So my jeep has been breaking down a lot lately and i got just sick of it considering its a royal pig on fuel, blah blah blah, so last week i went to the local ford dealership to do something about it and here i ended up with a 2008 Ford Escape, it has a 2.5l 4 Cyl. FWD, it has all your normal options you'd expect on a newer vehicle and it's rated for 40 mpg highway much better then the jeep's awesome 15mpg lol

so the only plans for it is to install a hitch so i can dolly my festiva to the track every now and then

    Anyway onto pics

1990 Festiva - First Ever Completed KLZE swap (SOLD)

If no one from the future stops you from doing it, how bad of a decision can it really be?

Lol ah this one doesn't need a clutch pedal, it's definitely not intended to be a power-house, although there is TONS of space for a turbo :evil4:

Love the color. I thought the 4X4's were slightly less on MPG as opposed to the 2WD. My wife and I test drove an escape last summer. We didn't get it though. Not the right one. My wife fell in love with it. She want a 2WD, I want a 4WD.

I'd expect 28ish in the city and 30+ on the highway. Never heard of any getting 40. You did a good choice getting the 4cyl. The 6cyl power is nice but I'd rather have the mpg of the 4cyl. I have pulled over 5k with ours with trailer brakes. Did you look into the 08's trans problems? You may have no problems since you won't be pulling be it behind a motorhome.

Ya I'm not expecting to get 40 out of it, I'm guessing 30-35 is what I'll realistically get, but again, the jeep only got like 15mpg, so it's a dramatic improvement

as for the power, I figure If I want to drive something with more power, I have the festiva and protege for that lol it's nice to have at least 1 vehicle that'll get over 30mpg lol
