  • Seattle International Auto Show

Went to the biggest new car show on the west coast today. Good crowd. Lots of interest in smaller cars this year. Scion IQ (a Smart sized car with an innovative back seat shoehorned in), the Fiat 500 (Abarth coming in 6 months) and Chevy Sonic (better looking on paper then in person). Compared the Mazda2 to the Ford Fiesta. Same car, but I'd go with the 2. Lighter weight, better value, and I'd rather go to Mazda for service than Ford.

Suprise badass looking car at the show? The Taurus SHO. That's got a wicked stance! A couple more suprises. The Mini Countryman (4 door AWD) and Buick Regal (A German Opel with very little changed from Europe). A tricked out Volvo C30. I had to sit in the back seat of the BMW 750il. WOW! When they say long wheel base they are serious.

Finally, Best looking car. Had to be the Aston Martin Vantage. Seeing one roaring up behind you would crazy! Any thoughts?

I also went, quizzed the Mazda guy about the Mazda 2's heritage, Festiva-121-Demio-2, he was intrigued. The Fiat 500 people were also interested in the BP swapped festys. I'll get some pics up eventually. the Boss 302 Laguba Seca they had was amazing.
And I'm pretty sure the LA auto show is bigger than Seattle
