My friend's beater civic uses the parking lamps for turn signals. When the lamps are on, they just start blinking when the signal is used. We all know of that 'blinker mod' that incorporates the parking lamps into the blinkers... could I just shave the bumper signals after this? It might look kind of nice.

I like the idea of full brightness bulbs as DRL/driving lights in the bumper and dual intensity lights in the corner lights for run/turn.
Anything to help visibility in these Festivas.-Zack

Im not sure about the US but in AU the corner lights have two bulbs one for park lights the other is for the turn signal.

Yeah, we only have turn signals in the bumpers and parking lights in the corners.
The turn signals don't have parking lights and the parking lights don't flash with the turn signals.-Zack

Awesome idea! I've heard you can expand the hole on the corner lights (with a dremel or the like) and put in 917 bulbs that are near the brightness of a turn signal bulb. Usually used for 3rd brake lights but smaller than the 1156.-Zack

I got really curious about doing this swap, and the connectors aren't identical :C My bad. The bumper signal is 2 prong and the corner is 3, despite only using 2 wires. Probably to accommodate the dual-light corner that was posted earlier... now I'm going to be doing this mod on my Festy. I want it!
