  • will a 7 inch wide wheel fit in my wheel well?

i sheared down the spring mount and since i have coil overs in there it makes it even easier to fit a wide tire but is 7"'s to much? 15X7 4-114.3 38S

Every car I have owned has had a turbo in it, until I bought this latest festiva.. I plan to fix that though.

Probably but check for the clearance on the fender and/or rear spring perch although is seems you have taken care of that problem... The biggest problem with running a 15" rim is that you are going to be going through wheel bearings like crazy if you AutoX with them due to the eatra weight further from the hub and the extra stress from having wider tires... Even with my 14"s I have gone through an entire set both fronts both backs within a year and a half... -Kyle

would it be better to go with at 6.5" wheel than a 7"?

Probably the safer bet if you don't know exactly what offset will work.. I would say the widest tire you really would want would be a 205 and with a 6.5" rim that would would work out just fine.. I have 14x6"s with a 195 on it... -Kyle

            kyle,

How close is your tire to the strut spring perch and the fender lip? a 205 is only 1 cm wider so i think it would fit in there

Well with the offset of the old school MR2 wheels, it is less than 7mm away.. It does rub on AutoX's but not bad on very aggressive turn ins... -Kyle
