I filled up 'Tiva yesterday, the first since replacein' the O2 sensor. MPG went up to 29.8, best yet! Next I'll "mod" my Cat., hope that will bring more improvement. I do tend to hot rod a little,& know if I mod. my driving style it will get a lot better. Never gonna happen, set in my ways .

With the coming of winter-blend gasoline, my mpg on my carbureted '88 4 speed manual trannie was dropping from 44mpg to 40mpg & occasionally even lower. Filled with 5 gallons of ethanol-free gasoline, I went on a pleasure trip on back-country roads, obtaining 47mpg. I figured the winter-blend would have gotten ~44mpg. Next tank of 8 gallons of ethanol-free, Festiva obtained 58mpg! MAYBE, the fuel hose clicked off early, but I think I topped up well. We'll see on the next tank of ethanol-free to see if my mpg really has jumped up.

Falling mpg.
On the way to the Fall Ohio meet i was getting 39 hwy @ 65
the next tank 40, so i put a whole can of see foam in, ya i think i over dosed it, i filled the tank yesterday and the mpg is now down to 31.8, i would say it's time for a new o2 sensor. An idea can turn to dust or magic, depending on the talent that rubs against it.
