  • Scrap the Cat

I got a wopping $10 bucks at the scrap yard for my cat.
They get more for larger ones. They actually thought it was an after market one. I was hopping for $40 at least.
On the other hand the highflow 2" one was 35 and ten for shipping off e-bay.

I had the shop run a 2" pipe from the manifold to a flex pipe and a 2" cat. Nice difference in power on the BP. The stock exhuast was chocking it.

I think you can usually get around $70 for them on ebay... if you ever have another to sell.

Right after my swap I was really tight on cash so I decided to do this. Festiva cat was $40 and $30 for the escort gt one that had a decent size hole in it.

Cats are extremely hard to sell around here, due to theft. I work a Toyota dealer, at one point a few years ago, someone stole every one of our tacoma and tundra cats overnight. We haven't had many recently, but for a while we had a few customers a week come in with both cats cut off the sequoia/tundra/tacoma. And the occational resinator stolen off highlanders. I guess the thought they are cats... Idiots. LOL
Im not driving a Festiva because I'm poor. I drive a Festiva because i want to!

dont take them to a scrap yard, you wont get much for them.

Items like batteries & cats are best to take to place who buys just those. They will pay much more than ther scrap yard. If you go to a smaller garage, they might be able to point you to the best place or even buy them from you.....

                      $10, you got screwed.
