  • DIYautotune.com Making Festiva MSPnP units!

figured id post it up since i get their newsletter from buying junk from em. their upcoming gen 2 Plug n Play kits will be offered for the festiva, escort gt/323/protege on top of the miata 1.6/1.8L variations. Interesting to note they took the time to mention the festiva, which means that theres enough of us pushing performance from them to create a need for it

heres the email i received from them:
The requisite Black Friday sale is announced! Starting RIGHT NOW. Everything in the store is 10% off through Sunday night at midnight. Buy now, buy often .

Use Coupon Code 'EatMoTurkey' at checkout for 10% off of the retail price of anything in the store. Includes sale priced items.

    The usual limitations apply....

Minimum order to receive discount is $199

Coupon is good for all products, at their retail or retail 'sale' price.

Coupon is NOT retroactive and CANNOT be applied to past/recent orders.

Gen2 MSPNP's are RIGHT around the corner!

That's right... as you've probably already heard if you follow our Facebook page (what, you don't follow our Facebook page? Really?

Anyways... as you've probably heard, new MSPNP's are coming soon, and not just for Miatas! In fact, in the first batch that's likely to be released, we've got BWMs, Toyotas, Nissans, and Mazdas and a couple Fords covered! (many more models are in the works as well!)

this is pretty sweet considering theres basically zero direct festiva aftermarket and all of a sudden someone is making a full plug n play standalone ecu specific to the festiva and not something we have to adapt over? Awesome, just plain awesome.

Considering the BP and B3 ECU's share the same connectors, I bet it's more or less listing everything that's compatible with that style connector to open up the market as much as possible

      But still cool either way

      1988 323 Station Wagon - KLG4 swapped
      1988 323 GT - B6T Powered
2008 Ford Escape - Rollover Survivor

1990 Festiva - First Ever Completed KLZE swap (SOLD)

If no one from the future stops you from doing it, how bad of a decision can it really be?

Do you have to have a laptop to adjust the tune? How do those work? You plug them in and hook a cable to a laptop and download preset "maps" or you literally set your own?

This is correct. Their "PnP" kits mean nothing more than it has the correct plug for the OEM harness. You still need to wire them internally on the breakout boards. It does not address the dizzy/VAF deletion issues, either.

exactly, i just thought it was cool that we actually have festivas listed considering how many other parts are "compatible" that never are considered for our cars
