  • Hi From NTRCOOL

Hello Forum. My name is Matt I was bitten by the festiva bug thanks to my buddy George aka BigBlockCadillac. I just bought a 93 GL 5speed Red with a Grey interior. Body is a little better than ok. under side is solidish, has a wing and white alloy rims that seem to be in good condition. I bought it for $300 because the previous owner thought the trans was out. It was making a hell of a squeal when you engaged the clutch. My neighbor dropped in a new clutch for me and said it still made the noise, but the case was almost empty. So I drained what little fluid was in it put some new 80-90W lower end unit gear lube I got from my previous job and in the first mile it was quiet. So score for me.

I hope to obtain useful info from the site and have fun with my new ride.

Welcome to the site! Pretty nice lookin car there. I think the trans is supposed to have atf in it tho. I know its lighter than 80-90.
89 L, hopefully returning from the dead soon with a little more power...

I'll have to look up exact specs for fluid but for off the bat can't complain on free stuff. I hope to rebuild the front end here in the next week or so the tie-rods are getting overly questionable. Then ill look at upgrading the suspension.

Thanks I'll get more pics when I get it cleaned up. I pulled the passenger fender out so the door operates properly. the Interior needs a good deep clean. I know its just a Daily driver but might as well as make it as nice as possible.

Plus I thought I'd add that I am part of the following forums: TGPForums, W-body community, GMForum, Powerstorkeforum (for my dads F-250), ModifiedPowerwheelsforum. Also my Game tag for PS3 and Xbox360 is also NTRCOOL.

Awesome screen name. How many license plates you got that say that IRL? I imagine that you're not going to have that car stock for long. I'll be looking for your build thread. By the way, welcome!

I only have one plate with my screen name, it on my 89 Turbo Grand Prix. Plus I can't wait to start wrenching on his thing. It already is peppy.

My right rear wheel fell off last night almost made me pool. Good thing I was only a few blocks from my moms place. I just limped to her place. As far as bigblock n I figured axle nut came loose or the wheelbering failed. Either way gotta get it back together.
