  • Need Wiring Diagrams From a 92 Gauge cluser for my swap

like said above! i used my haynes for most of the rewiring to use an 89 rx7 turbo II gauge cluter (which shares a festiva clip style) but i have some wires left over that i cant find out do certain things!!!

ex: there are 2 plain green wires going into each clip, cant figure out what they are for! also i have 2 red/white wires and one goes to lights and one goes to illumination... but then ive only got one spot on the rx7 for ilum in and for some reason my haynes shows a wire going in for illum and one out for the festy...

i have the rx7's pinouts all from their Elelctonics manual... but now i just need the one page that show the pinouts for the festy!!!

it should be the same as long as its a 90-93 wiring manual... someone please scan or help me out? once i get these done and figured out i can complete my diagram and put it in for a test and then make my walkthrough!!!

i had to trim off the tabs on the rx7 cluster to fit it into festy clusters location, but it still doesnt sit right... i need to trim a good amount of area out of the dash to get it to sit back and in to the stock depth, also the speedo is off since its readings are based on 1250rev = 1km instead of the festy's 1250rev = 1mi

either way i havent got it put in yet because i dont want to tear my dash apart (this is my dd while i fix my aspire) until i get my mock up harness (cut out from my parts festy) finished... this way once the mockup is done and al the festy's wires have been relocated, i can use it as an example to jsut redo the pins on the festy's clips (this way i dont have to cut any wires!)

i do have 3 pics of when i initially fit the cluster in but they are on my cell phone and i have no idea how to get them off lol...

anyone? nobody on here has the electronics book for the certain years of festiva???

im pretty sure as long as its a 90-93 festiva book (factory manual) it should be in there...

thats part of it... i need to know also what color wire on each clip goes to where on the car so i can put the correct wires into a diff place to match the rx7 cluster, the wire colors in the rx7 are different so i have to use their sources instead of their colors as a refernce on where to replace them into the clip...

I have a copy of the EVTM and the Assembly manuals at home. I don't have a way to scan them right now but if you have any specific questions I can look them up for ya

thank you! thats exactly what i needed!!!

unforunately i tried wiring it all up but the rx7 cluster seems to run differently off of a different amount of voltage... so yeah im still working on it! one of the paths got burnt up from the ignition line in a little spot but i fixed it with some wire... so apparently they both draw power in a different fashion...

i wonder if fred had this same problem with the GTX cluster? im thinking i will need to research the rx7 cluster a but more... i may need to add in some resistance somewhere if the rx7's are supposed to run a lower voltage or something...

days like this i wished i knew electrical wiring!
