          I'd put money on that it will not hit the states.
          Safety that does not have....
          Also the hatch doesn't open.

                  12" TIRES!!!

                  Well if for no other reason to get "giddy as a little school girl" over this hitting our shores, the tires are allegedly 12" according to this;

                  HowStuffWorks has been explaining how things work to curious minds since 1998. Providing factual, unbiased content that's fun to read and makes difficult topics easy to understand.

                  So we'll have to wait to see for sure what SIZE of 12's.

                  Oh, the American and Euro versions are suppose to be 7.5" longer coming equipped with a 3 cylinder engine.

                  EDIT; Found this from 2009 regarding aftermarket wheels;

                          I'm glad you mentioned this, because I thought no way will they bring that 624cc motor over here, completely impractical. Too underpowered for safe hwy driving. The 3-cyl motor should give it about 53 HP, for a 1400-lb car. So it would have maybe a little better acceleration than a Metro 1-liter. But it will get heavier due to US safety regs, so maybe 1500 lbs. Fuel economy will of course go down mainly due to the bigger motor, but will still be very good I think. Low 50s?

                          No doubt alloy wheels will be available for the "luxury" version! It'll still be a POS tho.

                          Can't wait for the 'busa version! Someone will do it.

                            65hp for the 3banger I think.

                              Oh, right. I just saw that. Surprising, since the 2/3 liter motor is only 35 hp, why increasing the displacement gives it 65 and not 53 or so. They must have retuned it for higher-quality gas and faster USA speeds.

                              Edit: I went back and read all the pages for the Nano in the Consumer Guide link above.

                              Edit: I remember when the Yugo came out and it became clear how crappy it was, a common sentiment was that you were better off getting a 10-year-old Corolla than a Yugo. For the $7K sticker price for the Nano, I'm thinking a $7K (or much cheaper!) used car is the better choice here too. A normal Festiva with the Aspire brake upgrade and good 13" tires is a far better-designed car, and can get almost the same mileage as a Nano. And we as yet know nothing about the Nano's durability in this market, which will stress it much more than it was stressed in India.
