  • Sending Out Festy with a Bang

One summer, a bunch of friends and I bought a Festiva, which we affectionately called Festy. We would drive it everywhere taking turns who had it. After she blew up on the highway we sent her out the best way we knew how. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oKQeR49i6iI

While I would never blow up a Festy, I think we all need to remember that we are driving 20 year old cars. The truth is that they are cheap, and disposable in the eyes of most. If this festy hadn't been blown up, it would have been crushed anyway. These cars aren't going to last forever. It could have served well as a parts car, but that was his decision. No need to get so offended.

You Sir are an idiot. There are much better, more adult ways to get rid of a car you obviously have no need for. Did it cross anyones mind to maybe donate it to the salvation army? It could have been fixed and helped a very needy family, give them a mode of transportation that they otherwise would have been without. This is a huge problem with "kids" these days. I can say that, I'm still one, bit i was raised a little better, raised to think of otheres from time to time. I'm just going to stop this here, I could keep going for a while.... Disappointed.....
Im not driving a Festiva because I'm poor. I drive a Festiva because i want to!

mine will last forever unless it gets totaled, theres lots of cars on the roads that are 40 to 80 years old still being driven & with all the parts available hopefully my 2 y.o. grand daughter will be driving mine one day. im not offended at all, i see stupid stuff on youtube everyday.

Yes but these underage punks are laughing their @$$ off because they
picked a site of people who care for these cars to get a rise out if us.
Not nice at our expense, and its not even a festy..
