how to lower festiva?

89 Ford festiva is there a way to lower my festiva inch or two by cutting down springs? I have heard of people doing this I just wanted to see if mine is capleble of this I know of has 4 springs all around I mean I have to change cv axles anyway why not give it a worle while the steering rods and brake are out of the way

yeah cut a coil or alot of ppl use civic coilovers with stock springs

How much would I have to cut off a full coil or just half
