  • F1 Racing Stage 2 Clutch

Is weak. At first it was awesome but only a few Wednesday Night Drags later and it was slipping in third. The clutch only has maybe 6 Wednesday Night Drags and 50 street miles and it's already practically dead.

It was the cheapest and at the time most promising solution. I didn't have $300 for a Dual Centerforce Friction Clutch or $400+ for a Spec. I still don't have the money for a clutch like that but after some clubprotege lurking I found KY Clutches. $175 for an 8 puck ceramic clutch, will let you guys know in a few months how it goes.

There is a ring on the pressure plate, don't know if it's my fault or dust build up. The tranny was full of dust.

What ever happened to the 500 mile break in period....

I am about to install a xtr stage 2 eBay clutch I guess I will find out. It says in the installation instructions to break it in for 500 miles. Maybe that's why u have premature wear.

Why not go with a slightly bigger diameter clutch disc. Looks like you have about 1/4 of your surface area of the pressure plate not in use.

I couldn't do 500 miles but I did a few hours of stop and go driving.

Was this for your G5MR? If so, I'm definitely interested to hear more about shopping around! Sounds like a killer deal.

Heres the page i ordered it off of. came in and has been in my car for quite some time now. good strong clutch ive never had an issue with my apologies though, its not 250 like i thought it was, its $296 with free shipping according to the screen cap i took when i ordered it. And yeah, its for my turbo BP swapped g5mr car.

LMPerformance has over 1,000,000 parts with fast Free Shipping. Visit our online store to find what you need today!

looks like a stage 4 SPEC is only $314 and stage 5 is $431 but stage 3 is rated for 379ft/lbs of torque so im not too worried yet.

That's is a lot cheaper then I had thought. I would have had to wait another month to afford it but i'm done now.

That ring happens when compressed dust build up in a rivet hole comes out and causes the clutch to slip a little. Pretty dirty break in ! Make sure none of that stuff is left to help break in your new one ! Don't breath it either.
