  • my latest family member "ZZ"

ZZ is a little 89L plus that I picked up in late December. I have been drivin it the past few weeks working out all the little carby kinks and tire issues. But he now runs great so I started to get him cleaned up and looking a little better. Just thought I would share a bit of what I have been doing. I am still going to therapy 3 days a week for my hand and working normal 40 hour weeks again so all in all life is treating me well. I am trying to kick the flu bug I seem to have aquired this past week. Hope yall are having a good New Year and look forward to seeing and meeting more folks this year!

Oh, ZZ's a nice looker, Jay! She looks orange in the pics but I bet she's red. I also see the remains of a grey hockey stripe on the C pillars.

    How many miles?

It's red Karl, it came with 191k on the ticker. I wish I could buy the silver hockey stripes to replace these ones. It looks like someone was trying to remove them. However, when the weather warms up I plan to paint the stripes on the side like the ones on the hot rod on the ZZ top Eliminator album cover. I am a big ZZ fan and the red just inspired me right into the theme and name for the car.

Thanks, I just gave it a bath, quick buff, repainted the bumpers grey, and did the color keyed wheels and trim rings to dress it up a bit.

Good so can I have my silver car with the suroof that had the bad rear spindle back now? :-P Just kidding lol, nice looking car, I recently picked up an "L" myself, first "L" I've had in a while. Put the head all back together and THEN found out that one of the freeze plugs on the back of the block was knocked in lol.

You can have the silver car if you can get the key away from Smedley! She is driving Lucky till I can get Kermit a b6 transplant finished.
