Lol believe it or not this gets asked alot. Our cars were made like that only a/c come out of the vents(if you have it)

Lol i just finished putting a heater core in mine today, i called day to see why i didn't have heat out the vent (he told me some small cars don't have heat through the vents and that was probably the case), and now i found this.

I'd cry but its just too sad!

Think we need to have a section for FAQ's, and this has got to be in the top 5!

Lol my service writer gave me a work order for a Festiva the other day since he knows I drive one. It stated on the sheet that customer concern was heat only comes out of defrost/floor. I handed it back to him and told him that I was done with the job and the car was ready to go lol. He wouldn't believe me when I explained it to him, so he went outside and crawled up under the dash and then came back inside with a dumbfounded look on his face.:p

I think the Mazda/KIA thinking is/was heat rises. therefore the floor vents to warm us, & defrost vents to clear windows. I read it in one of the manuels either Hayhes or Ford Service Manuel. Thats why I didn't ask that stupid question, just ask many other stupid questions. FAQ would be nice.
