Has anyone used Boost Mobile as your cell phone carrier, pros, cons, what can you tell me. I'm looking at their $50 per month unlimited plan, with no contract.

tmobile has that....you buy a phone and they charge 49.99. Boost depends on your area whether you would have good reception or not. Tmobile is unlimited everything for that price.

Verizon, t-mobile and At&t all have monthly plans now at walmart ranging from 45-55 a month unlimited everything and pretty good phone selections. They are monthly no contract plans just like boost but I'd imagine with better service.

You can check it out at walmart. A few friends are on the Verizon $45 unlimited monthly plan and have had no issues thus far.

Boost is a part of Sprint, i'll hit Wally World and see what i can learn. T-mobile, i'll check on that one to. What towers does T-mobile use. Thanks

Verizon does not on the contract plans, but they do offer it in their monthly. Why? I do not know.

i have boost and i have one of the droid phones and it works great. hes rite it is on the sprint network and the 3g is pretty good. i stream music while i drive, i can stream vid i have even used it to tether it and use it as a mobile hotspot. i used it as a hotspot at johns house so we could cruze the forum and it worked great. boost has what they call shrinkage which means that if you pay a certain amount of payments on time (i think its 6) and they take $5 a month off your payment untill you reach $35 and then it stays there. i have had boost for like 4 years now and havnt been disapointed especially now that they have droids.

t-mobile uses some of att towers but they are way more limited att and t-mobile use the gsm network and boost uses cdma (on cdma phones) and iden on iden phones (which is the nextel network) the iden phones only work on the nextel network and they are not capible of 3g so if you go boost make sure you get a cdma phone not iden.

watch out for other "unlimited plans" they have data caps and they charge you extra when you go over or they slow your connection, it happened to my friend because he was using it for a hotspot 24-7 and they slowed his connection and charged him double on his payment because he went over his cap. sprint/boost has no such cap so just a heads up

T mobile was also a good deal, no shrinking pay plan, but a large amount of coverage, what to do, going to have to sleep on it. Thanks guys for your thoughts.

Thanks bobby, i looked it up on the computer to see what coverage we have in this area, not great, here is my zip 50219 i came home with a handfull of brochures to read, maybe tomorrow, right now i see a bowl of ice cream with my name on it.

says your good and the good part about sprint is they also dont charge you for roaming when/if you do

sounds like T-mobile is the way to go for you....also...with gsm...you can change phones easily. Just pop out the sim card and pop it in to another phone and you are good to go. Data is unlimited but they slow you after 2 gigs I think it is...I have never reached 1 so I do not know how slow it gets but it is not bad I believe.

I myself have Virgin Mobile non contract, I got it before they turned up the price, so I still pay the $25 bucks a month for unlimited texting and web, and 300 minutes. I find it fine if I just keep an eye on my minutes a little bit. They also have one for 45 bucks that has more minutes. For service, I really can't complain, on my way from MN to PA for ohiostiva, I had service near all the way, as it uses Sprint towers.
