  • The joy of Parking!

I love finding tight parking spots at UBC! The great thing is that most of these spots arise from people with nice cars not wanting anyone near them, lol......(not in this case). What is really funny is when I go to leave and there is a big truck or minivan, or even a newer civic, that is waiting to take the spot after I leave.....I usually pull out and then sit and watch them as they (slowly) realize they will never fit.....HAHAHAHA
Take a look at this video ---->

I'd be worried about vandalism at that point. Or the other person intentionally hitting your car to get out.

Both vehicles had plenty of room to get out at their opposite ends. So I am not too worried about that. That being said though, one day I was napping in my car at UBC (I got there before anyone else), and a older Golf comes to park behind me, and drives right up to my bumper and touches, THEN TRIES TO PUSH ME FORWARD! (Spinning his tires and everything!) I guess I was 3ft or so from the no parking sign, and he wanted to park at the end, so he thought "hey, I will just push this car out of the way"..... Well he took off when he realized that I was in the car, and it was still dark (like 5:30am) so I didnt get a plate.......So I didnt move, and went to classes, and when I returned, there was a truck touching my bumper! LOL! Needless to say, I am not too worried about my bumper, haha......

So at that point, you take your pocket knife and cut a slit in the caps of each of the other vehicle's air stems. Insert a pebble into each modified cap, and screw them back on. The victim returns to the vehicle sitting on four rims, and as soon as said victim (or victim's AAA) removes the caps to fill the tires again, the stones should fall out inconspicuously.

EDIT: You could also carry four caps to ensure that happened the way you planned.

The issue with that kind of stuff is this......My car is not very conspicuous, lol! I dont even want him to think it was me, lol.........He may not be as nice with his methods of repayment!

I just called the police to see if they could give him a fine, and that way it would not be "me" it would be "them".......He would not have thought that I called the police, he would simply think that they saw him touching another car while sticking into a bus zone, haha.........

Ps. The police did come and deal with the situation perfectly.

I love the Police! They are your best ally! The more the better! I have nothing to be afraid of (other than my Kamm-back, no mirrors, and driving in the HOV lane by myself) but I would not be upset if I got pulled over for these things, as it is my own dumb fault.......

At the Scarborough Town Centre Shopping Mall, there are four large abutments to support the overhead parking level. Only a Smart car or Festiva will fit in these four half spaces. No other cars can park there. I too love to see the look on their face after they stop and patiently wait for me to back out! AHAHAHAHA.

A guy I work with has a new Dodge Ram, and even though the parking spot-to-car ratio is very close, he likes to split the spots and park right on the line. Usually I can find a nice "festy spot" close to the door reserved just for me.

There's nothing like seeing the faces of onlookers while you effortlessly park in a spot that has been passed by because it was too small for someone else... or when you make a doubtful passenger eat his words.

                    Haha epic

I regularly park in 'pole spots' and spots that aren't true parking spots.

About a week ago I was delivering papers to one of the nursing homes, and the lady was like "Oh, sorry, didn't mean to block you in!" I said "oh, I'm not blocked in, trust me." She's like "Really? Are you sure? I don't think you can fit through there..." I was like "oh, trust me, I've been through tighter." As I got in and just cruised through the tiny opening. LOL

It was great. One of the best parts of this car

Also, turning around completely without backing up on a narrow road is GREAT

I enjoy watching the big SUV drivers when think they nailed a good parking spot at the mall, only to find my festy hiding way up in the parking space behind other large vehicles.

This is an epic win for me. My brother lives on a culdesac and it takes him either a three point turn to get out or going around the long loop. I just crank the wheel and go!

Haha!!! Can't say that's happened for me, but I've definitely received my share of looks and points, lol
