  • My wife needs a new car and I need help

So heres the situation, my wide needs a be car her omni finally gave up. The head gasket is home and there is an issue with spark and think its the computer. Anyway

1: she likes older boxy style cars especially hatchbacks. I tried to talk her into a festy but she insists in a 4 door. She likes cars like olds volvos, omnis, the chevy citation, the chevette... Older cars with character.

2: I needed it to be something easy and cheap to work on. I am far from a mechanic and trust the people here because I know there are alot if mechanics here

    thanks bobby d.

For a four-door, the Aspire would be the logical choice. It would build on your knowledge of the Festiva and eventually provide parts when it goes down.

          But she wants "boxy."

How about an older Golf? Maybe '88 to '90-something? I'm not sure about the repairs one would need but they should have abundant parts sources, both used and new.

Another Omni or Horizon could work, since you now have a parts car.

Probably not interested, but i have a 98 gti vr6. lowest i would probably take is $1200 (kbb has it at about $3000)....or I would also consider a festy trade. Just throwing it out there.

^ yea I was thinking of a u.s. 1st gen escort as long as u can convince her that we can make it look cool ha ha. A motor swap could be pretty similar to a festy rite?

                              Import a 4 door festiva

                              1988 323 Station Wagon - KLG4 swapped
                              1988 323 GT - B6T Powered
2008 Ford Escape - Rollover Survivor

1990 Festiva - First Ever Completed KLZE swap (SOLD)

If no one from the future stops you from doing it, how bad of a decision can it really be?
