  • My '88 quits when warm !

When I get the car all warmed up doing errands, it finally will quit ...like something electrical gets hot and after I let it sit an hour or 2, she will
fire right up again, run great !
Is there any one thing I should look for as failing ...coil, a module some
where ? I am not any real mechanic, need some suggestions guys ! It is original LX with 218, 200 miles, a great little Festy !

When it will not start does it still spark out of the coil and jump
    at least 3/4 inch ?

It's probably the ignition module which is inside the distributor. They are rather expensive. If you shop around, you may be able to get a whole distributor for about the price of that module.
      You gonna race that thing?

i'm betting on oil contamination; pull the cap and rotor and dust cover and hose the inside of the dizzy down with brake clean and let it dry before putting it back together.
