is this Festiva going to sell on Ebay?
I don't get it, why is this car relisted every week or so?

b/c idiots with no money bid on it then dont pay for it (usually). if im selling a car on ebay i block bidders with under 10 100% bids & this gets rid of most of that.

There must be a bunch of add-on costs because he's a dealer that wrecks the sale.

because the high bidders NEVER show up - guess they get bidders remorse when the realize they just bid $500 - $1000 more than its worth and THEN they gotta travel 100's of miles to get it. this was the 3rd time around as far as I know of. you're gonna laugh but I made him an offer of $2100 (I know kick me in the astric)
and he snubbed his nose at it. he thinks just because it gets 40mpg (and I have my doubts on that - its an automatic) its worth its weight in gold.

if I were to spend that much for the sake of mpg's I'd go with a metro, rabbit, swift, aspire, or festy with a 5 speed. they all get over 40mpg and are available for $2000 and much less if you are patient. guess he's hoping for that one guy to come along who can't wait. thing is those kinds of people have no money BECAUSE they are not patient.

I have a 94 and a 95 aspire. the 94 is a 5 speed and does touch 40mpg on the highway at 60 mph, 36 around town. the 95 is an auto and gets 30 in town and 33 on the hwy. really the only reason I want a festy is to be a part of this group o nuts here. kinda feel like a red headed step child now, but I aint paying over 22 or 2300 for a real nice one. one of these days one of you guys will sell me a nice one at a REASONABLE price but I need a festy with auto & a/c (spoiled) I have a 94 aspire setting on blocks in the back waiting to donate its suspention/brakes/sway bar. I'm actually looking for an escort to donate its heart.

somebody should kick me for offering him 2100 - I was even thinking of 2300 - somebody please stop me.

^ a 2000$ rabbit will most likely not get 40mpg, unless you find a chipped OBD2 ABA Swap for a steal or a diesel, but they usually go for twice that in the kind of condition that that festiva is in and they are horribly slow, not to mention very expensive to repair. If I were close I would buy that car, I've seen similar cars sell for 4500 at dealerships out here.

Just be patient... We see nice festivas pop up every day. There is one on cl in Florida for 1,300 that's really clean, but it's a carb car and I'm not sure if it is manual or auto. I never see them sell for over 1,500 they usually just keep posting till there blue in the face.

You guys are lucky! Any car that runs for less than 2500 out here gets scooped up in like an hour and driven south to be sold in Mexico or Central America. I call on atleast one festiva a month out here and it's always the same story. They love these cars in Mexico.

It would mean a horrible death to all those beautiful festivas! They are so hard on cars down there. my car was going to be sent to Mexico before I got her, I wish I could save them all!
                  I'll buy a car with no A/C, it's a dry heat! Lol

I see festivas sitting on cl for months at the $2000 range... The most recent is at $1500 now. It doesn't help that they can't speak English enough to even explain the car to people. It seems like only on eBay they go for more because people are bidding from everywhere.

yeah but if I could buy 6-8 of em in FL., GA, SC, NC for 1200 each on average and spend 2000 or less on a trip out west and make 1500 per car profit I wouldn't care what they did with them. how much would you charge me to park in your yard for a week and sell them? I'll sleep in the truck or bring a tent and all I'd ask would be to take a shower once a day. I'll bring a A/C unit to hang in the truck window - you can keep your dry heat. isn't that why all the old people out there look like iguanas? or I can drop em off and trust you to sell them for a commision.

who else here in the south east is up for a road trip to AZ.? anybody have a 30 - 40 foot flat equipment trailor for rent? how wide is a festy and how long? if we could get them sideways using the wheel dollies and then removing the dollies once in place we could put old matresses between them and get 6-7 on a 35-40 foot hauler. I have a f-250 with a 351m to pull it with. I can get a 450 if needed.

with multiple dents from hail, faulty ignition switch, and torn seat ? at 2500 I wouldn't expect perfection but it needs to be a lot closer to perfection than this one is, wouldn't you agree? was your 2300 dollar festy a dog or was it nicer than this one? at least it should have a modern sterio and/or nice window tint or upgraded aspire brakes/suspention to offset the body/mechanical issues, imo.
