  • Fiesta is dominating Rally America series!

For those who are into rally racing, Ford has been putting a great amount of effort into it's U.S. based Rally team this year. We've all heard of Ken Block and we've seen his amazing videos ( of you haven't , do a search on YouTube for hours of action) but there is a new kid on the block at the Ford camp. Chris Duplessis is Ford's new FWD ace, and he's making tracks with the R2 fiesta. Chris dominated the first round of Rally America, Sno Drift Rally, beating over half the open class cars in the snow and mud of Michigan. That's right, a FWD non turbocharged Fiesta is going faster than Evos and WRXs in the snow! It's going to be an exciting season for us small Ford fans!
Check this video out for some of the footage of Chris at Sno Drift.
Enjoy the videos and music you love, upload original content, and share it all with friends, family, and the world on YouTube.

And some testing with the Fiesta R2 (not mobile friendly)

Driving for me is neither a right nor a privilege. Driving is my passion, as it was for the people who invented the automobile, the people who paved the first roads and the people who continue to improve the automobile. Please respect this passion.

Yeah, I'm pretty excited about this, Chris is a friend of mine, real nice guy who works hard. It's good to see him get this opportunity.

I got to see Chris run at the Snow*Drift rally Last month here in Michigan. You know I was pulling for ALL the G2 and G5 teams! I heard while I was up at the event he went to some "Rally Car Academy" in Great Britain or some such place recently. How cool is that! Do you know anything about that "acadamy" or what ever it was he went too?

He competed in Rally GB (Wales round of WRC) last November. That's the official date of his start with Ford (even though they provided a car for him through Team O'Neal for some other events last season). RALLY GB is where he got all the Ford training and setup the R2 ride for this season. Check out RGB here: http://www.walesrallygb.com/home.php

Let's hope ford can turn this into real results in WRC. And de-throne Loeb.

Sebastian has to be defeated at some point. By the time Chris has the resume necessary to race WRC full time, I'm sure Mr. Loeb will be retired. Lol
