  • Festy keeps getting better,

I got 36 on the first full tank and the last tank I just got 38.6, and that was several long 75mph trips on the interstate back and forth from work...I love this car.

Slow down and you can break 40 MPG.
Or lower it and or aeromod it and you still might break 40 MPG!

I'm gonna start doing right at the speed limit, 70 in most places or 65 closer to town.

Yeah I've found even going 70 vs 75 you will see a pretty nice increase in MPG.

That's where u will make up a few mpg's, 65 max speed. It's retarded that a car that gets 40mpg you can pull 3 more mpg by just changing how you drive. I drive slowly in my truck it goes from 15-16 mpg. Not worth it.

Pizza guy just dropped off a pie, he doesn't even greet me he just starts popping off, that's a nice fiesta there in the garage (its in the garage barely visible) he's like man you don't see those much any more and never that nice you got anything done to it yadda yadda then starts telling me about his insight that gets 40 that's half motor half battery and how gay and slow it is. Lol he said it has to be going downhill to make it run on just battery I said that's great since we live in Florida!

Do our cars reap the benefits of long term fuel trim? I dont think OBD1 controled vehicles are "smart" enough to be adaptive though...

They have long and short logic but not as good or viewable like newer
systems have. the benefits of long term logic for fuel can go both ways!

Now, if you keep track of these recordings, I'd imagine that you'd need some sort of organizational system, like a filing cabinet. The filing cabinet would be just for the Rockford Files of coarse, nothing else. :p

Yes, my son, due to the wind at your back!
But probably averages out much lower if you consider your MPG on the way up to the firebase, when you had a head wind!
I know Festyboy took a beating, MPG wise, on the way in due to the head wind! I suspect he did much better on the way back as well.
