That looks a bit too nice to strip for a brake swap. Have you checked it out yet, running, or are you just thinking about it?

I would buy that right now if I could.. it is a bit too nice for just a brake swap, unless the motor is blown and the tranny is on it's way out.

          History

I put a note on this car back in Nov 2011.Last week the guy called me & said he'll sell it.... I couldn't for the life of me remember what it looked like? So I just BS'd with him & finally hit him with the punch line. "Soooo what are you looking to get out of it?" When he said 5 Honey I was like ok I'll come over.
So it started right up after sitting for 6 months. It's got some lifter tic (No big deal). He says it uses 1 qt per 600 miles
The tranny supposedly shifts very smooth. It needs an axle & exhaust.
          Tires new
          Batt new
          Brakes new
          Rear defrost works yaaaa!
Tires are literally frozen into the ice.So I couldnt drive it.
But He said he'll take 4 Honey, so I'm gonna try to get him some money asap. Real cool guy,it was his daughters car. So you know its never seen high rpms.I'm thinking 25% of the oil use is leakage.Cuz its coated on the motor pretty good.
oh yeah, lastly he said he works for an oil company in town. And he has gallons of free oil for me. He said he would put it in the trunk.... Dont know what he has,but I wont look a gift a horse in the mouth.
If the deal goes through you guys gotta help me decide what to do with her. This will be my 4th Aspire,so I dont need festy parts of it.
ps I didnt mean to post that vid, oops.

Very Cool, I am with the others. I would fix the leaks and exhaust and use as a DD for a while. Then if something happens you can yank the swap and have a good b3 engine.

                UPDATE

We went & picked up GREEN in a blizzard tonight. $400 ATX 82K & gallons of 5w30 or 10w30.He said he couldnt remember LOL He works at an Oil Depot & said he bought it from work,to do oil changes. I dont know if I trust the stuff... Tranny shifts good, fluid doesnt smell burnt. But I would venture to say its the original fluid.People never change their tranny fluid.Other than that yeah its got some rust. But you can tell it wasnt abused. Still havent made my mind up what I'm gonna do with her.
