Running that as a single on a 1.3l engine, you'll get maybe 5psi spinning twice as fast as the crank. Hardly worth the effort.

What about a B6 SOHC? VW wouldn't have used it if it didn't have an advantage. I am looking for more low end oomph for Luxstiva. If this gave me about 15 more hp from the get-go it may be what I'm looking for. Cost would be the only factor. That and my A/C possibly complicating the install.

I really want to S/C my future "Speedstiva's" B6. 120 to 130 hp would be nice. Right now I have about 110 hp planned N/A. Gotta work within the stock MTX limitations, so 130 hp is pushing it.

VW used it with an electronic clutch to prevent overreving the supercharger. The purpose of it was purely for low end torque, with the turbo being used once it was spooled up.

It's not built for absolute power.

More for decent mileage and enough power to pass someone.

Plus, I'm sure they wanted to say, "We're cooler then you!"
