  • 89 festy purchase; update - pics link

it has the tan interior - not grey. it is an L model. no seat tray or rear deck panel.

left rear tail light could use replacing but a little RV goop will fix the crack to where it will be water tight.

while you are on gunbroker look at my stuff there I'm selling, especially if you like AK's.

its not for sale at the moment - thats the best way I know to post pics as I am more than a little tech challenged, lol

its an A/C car too! I like the tan int. also but would rather have the grey with a white car. if it were black, dark burgandy, or a wintergreen color the tan would offset it nicely.

the more I think about it I think I will fix this one on the cheap and make it my pizza car. I'll keep it stock and I'll locate a FI car with 5speed later and soup it up.

GOOD SCORE? you guys are as crazy as I am cause i thought $600 was way too much for festy that wasn't running. I only consoled myself by keeping in mind that if I can get 40/45 mpgs out of it when finished it'd pay for itself in a year or less if don't end up having more than 1500 - 2000 in it overall AND its dependable.

Mine is A/C also, and I noticed just now it has rear defrost like mine even, but your defrost switch is one hole over to the right compared to mine.

well after checking it out I have found it has a FULL tank of gas!

put a battery in it and it fired right up but it runs at 2000 rpms and when it idles down it cuts off. noticed some of the vac. lines and pvc hose are missing. it smokes bad (white) so I guess the valve/seats are bad. the bottem end sounds good though.

the brake reservoir is DRY! wth? - I'll fill/bleed it this weekend and see what happens.

missing a stock 12" steel rim. the donut is on it now.

radiator has some rust in it so I'll have to take it out and take it to shop for refurbishing. I'll try flushing it out first to get the rust particals out of the lines and core.

doesn't appear to have water in oil or vv.

heater not working - blows cool but the fan works. can't get it to blow out defrost - all other positions work and blow out properly.

                        windshield broken

                        now for some good.

hey it runs - wasn't when I went to look at in. so I know its not going to need a motor (probably)

lights, signals, dash lights, tail/brake lights, back up lights, tag lights, and dome light all work. the flashers only flash on left side, horn not working.

wipers work and even the windshield washers work! handbrake works good.

water circulates through the system as it should

doors/hatch open/close tight, key operates doors/hatch, windows roll up/down easy.

                        side and back glass good.

3 tires on it are 75% and I have one under the house I found at the flea market for $7 so I just need to find a rim.
