  • Rack & Pinion set-up?

Anyone know where I can find a cheaper Rack & Pinion set-up for my 92 Festy L? The only place I found was Napa that had a remanufactured for 243.44 w/o the 55.60 core charge

Post a WTB ad on here, or are you looking for a new/rebuilt one?

    1988 323 Station Wagon - KLG4 swapped
    1988 323 GT - B6T Powered
2008 Ford Escape - Rollover Survivor

1990 Festiva - First Ever Completed KLZE swap (SOLD)

If no one from the future stops you from doing it, how bad of a decision can it really be?

If you want just the basic rack mechanism, manual Aspire racks are supposed to bolt on. Use the Festiva inner tie rods and ends to make it work.

Also get someone else to confirm this before you do it. I haven't done it myself and I'm not sure it's an "accepted, tested procedure."

I can rebuild racks. I did mine 2 yrs ago with no issues so far. And I just did one for Mental.

          Shipping is kinda a pain.

Send me a PM and we will work something out.

Good morning Euro, would the rebuild cost be more or the same for a Festiva power steering unit.
An idea can turn to dust or magic, depending on the talent that rubs against it.

Haven't looked into rebuilding a PS unit. I know it would cost more b/c of seals and such. The manual racks are bushings and grease
