  • 93 ford festiva fuel delivery problem

    working on 93 i purchased 2 weeks ago.had problem with fuel pump .replaced pump and resister and pump would not deactivate. i believe pressure would pump up with key in on position but pump would not disengage.now it seems new resister is bad again.seems like i have some sort of wiring issue.please help

    What resistor?
    Was the fuel pump jumper-ed in engine compartment?

      Read your other thread. You transplanted a manual setup into an auto body and you're trying to get it running without hooking up all the wires. There's some harness changes involved with that swap that you need to complete before trying to start it. Location is AZ

        Georgeb, went back and read his first post!
        Says car is from AZ, doesn't mean he is located in AZ.
        IP resolves to Chicago, IL.
        We have members in that area.

        jfd64, best bet is to open a new thread in the repair forum and give all the detail of what was done to the vehicle, even more than what you have in your first post.
        yes, it is more work, but you are likely to get more responses and more useful advise!
        Going to lock this so as not to confuse people with two thread about the same vehicle.
        This not a punitive action, just keeping things organized here.
