Was Wondering how many rpms my 88lx 5 speed should be at when its driving in 5th gear at 65-70 mph? Right now its at it 2900-3k I feel thats pretty high. Am I wrong?

63=3k with cable F so about 65-67=3k with EIm not driving a Festiva because I'm poor. I drive a Festiva because i want to!

3k rpm = 73-4mph on all my festys (5spd)Trees aren't kind to me...
currently: 2 88Ls (Scrappy and Jersey), 88LX, 90L(Pepe), 91L, 91GL (Skippy) 93 GL Sport (the Mighty Favakk), 94 (Bruce) & 95 Aspire SEs, 97 Aspire (The Joker),
94 Justy 4WD, 87 Fiero GT, plus 2 parts cars. That's my fleet.

Are you adding 4 percent more miles before figuring your fuel usage? The taller tires don't spin as many revolutions so if you are figuring raw mileage off your odometer you won't be figuring enough miles.
Add 4 miles for every 100 miles you travel. If you go 300 miles add 12 miles and then divide your fuel usage into it.
