If the bolts are what you need, I'd think any B8 Protege at the junkyard would be more than willing to give up its block to transaxle bolts and exhaust bolts to you. Then you'd just need access to a separated engine to get the flywheel bolts.

I'd also guess, but can't confirm that any B series engines with the type of transaxle you are using would fit. I'd check out any MTX Festiva or Aspire and grab those if you could.

I'd always make it a point to grab all extra bolts and such when pulling an engine or transaxle so you have extras. It couldn't hurt! On the other hand, I had to steal some things off my extra B3 and stock MTX when I did my last swap because I was missing parts.

I'm not sure what you're doing though so maybe this didn't help?

Ah, but if you already have these bolts, maybe you just want the measurements? When I bought a cheap tap and die set from HF, it came with a small tool to measure thread pitch. Look for one of those sold separately, or sold in a tap and die kit.

          Your input always helps Karl.

I do have the original bolts, but the heads are so eaten up by rust that I'd prefer putting on new bolts on.

            Ah, okay. Try this:

            Or this:

If you need it fast, check your local Sears store. Also, these are cheap enough to get both metric and English. May as well.

One more idea. I think I got something like this from HF:

Note it comes with a pitch gauge. You might want this kit to chase threads if you redo a head, etc. They should be chased and cleaned before reinstallation to get proper torque specs. I did it when I put my B6 head back on for Aqua. (Now if you want to make threads or do heavier work, I'd get better quality like the Craftsman.)

Surely I could do that... but if anyone has the bolts nearby, I could order them right away
