  • And now I have 4

Since my daughter will soon be taking my 89 white daily driver I decided to build another for my daily use. So I built the bpt car. Not a practical vehicle since I drive 60 miles a day.

I came across a red 92 sport the other day. 90,000 miles, dual mirrors, map pockets, wing, cargo area cover, alloys. The leading edge of the hood is rusty but the rest is pretty clean.

so I'm thinking sr20det swap and a rwd conversion, sound good? Maybe a neon srt-4 engine and transmission swap.

Wasn't that one on ebay a couple days ago ?

I saw 14 Festivas last Friday...

Some looked like they were potentially for sale - flat tires, weeds growing around them....

Pff. That's small change. You need to do a RWD swap with a massive V8. Who cares what V8, it's mostly just to hold the nose of the car down. Now build a rocket-turbo booster differential and install that.

Unfortunatly this is the biggest picture I could find.

It uses a rocket to spin a turbine that is directly driving the rear axle. Press the button and you get anywhere from 1000-1500hp direct to the rear wheels. The downside, it's instant power delivery, and it doesn't stop until you let go of the button or run out of fuel.

Looks real nice Matt. This isn't considered a "GL" is it? Got A/C?

If this will be your commuter/beater, you should keep the B3 or put in a B6 and maximize either choice of engine for fuel economy.

I got 34.8 mpg in my ATX on a freeway trip to Miami U. Semi-hard driving mostly on the interstate. My second tank of gas gave me 28 even in hard combined driving. (My A/C remains beltless though, and my back seat is out.)

You should be able to "B6" over 40mpg easy with a 5 speed and you'll still have more power than the average little car. Remember the price of gas now!

It IS a 5 speed, right?

whats the horsepower of the B6?

anyone ever supercharge or turbo a B3?

those little chevy sprint 3cylinder turbos have about 70 hp i think.

                          Stock B6 has 82 hp.

                          Yep. Look around. Someone has.

I'd like a supercharger for mine.

No a/c. If I ever come across a b6 in the yard I will do that swap other than that it will remain stock. This weekend I'll give it a good once over. It needs front brakes and I just pulled the spindles off the BPT car and those brakes were new. So I'll swap those over. The dist cap has a screw missing and is held on with a small c clamp and the radiator has a bead of silicone around the top seam. A few hours work and I'll feel safer driving it.
