Are you saying you bought the other one for $10 or that you have
one that's a little bigger that you will sell for $10. If it's for sale, please PM me.
Thanks,
Jess
OK...Thanks..
Our yellow Festiva is kept in the garage, but the aqua one stays in the driveway. I really need a cover for it in the Spring..that's when the Live Oak trees first drop their old leaves, then the little black pollen specks, and then the long strings of brown dried blooms. It's also the time when the little green worms drop down out of the trees on their webs. The shade is nice but they make a mess this time of year.
If I see no better options, I'm going to order one of these tomorrow.
I bought my car cover on eBay. It was advertised as a perfect fit. What a lie.
It was for some other four door sedan. Way too long front and back + too short on the sides. I believe the only good way to make a custom car cover is to make it yourself. Does anyone know a good source for breathable, non-scratch car cover material?
This is not rocket science. It is straight stitch on an industrial sewing machine.
I presume I could even use the dimension diagram in the shop manual to make it with an extra two cm allowance for every piece.
I will double check a few critical dimensions and get back to everybody.

Man!, I could use a good quality car cover, too. Garage is crammed with stuff during my home remodel.
One thing to keep in mind (as I found out when trying to protect a parts cart I decided to eventually resurrect) is that if you live in a really wind area (like Oklahoma) is that even 'soft' materials will eventually rub the paint off the corners/edges of your Festiva. Bummer.

I finally pulled out my tape measure and measured for an exact fit Festiva cover.
Three pieces of fabric would be needed. One piece, 5' X 17' and two pieces 4.5' X 11'. I have foldable swoopy mirrors. I have determined that the best way to fab a pattern is to cut the muslin in place. I will shop around on Monday for a 30 foot roll of fabric.
I got a cover for the 95 Escort Wagon on ebay for about $12 delivered- should last two or three Flroida winters. I'm sure they have smaller sizes for smaller cars- think I'll get one though I'll be putting the Festy back in the shed for the winter soon- Just about sorted out and ready to go when I need it- even the a/c works for now at least- not bad for a 25 year old car with 76,000 miles htd
The 96 Aspire daily driver still running GREAT at 116K. Had it a dozen years since 35K.
Nobody would sell me the Evolution fabric.
What about Kartex fabric?
It's fairly cheap.
I wish the roll was 6' wide.
There would have to be a seam in the top.
I wonder if there would be any interest for an 80 yard group buy?
I would sew a prototype with some cheap muslin to get a pattern.
