do all a/c cars have p/s?

Can you find a/c without power steering? Can you install it without the p/s pump?

Both my 93s and the 92 have air but no power steering, Ive never even seen power steering on a festiva. Don't know why you would need it they turn easily anyway.

Power steering was only available 1 year, 91 I believe. So yes it can be installed with out it.(A/C) As a matter of fact both my Festiva's have A/C and no power steering. I added it in the 89 pretty easy to do.

cool, my shop manuals shows p/s pulley to mount the a/c.

A/C compressor bracket bolts directly to the engine block. If you are planning on adding A/C I'd check the threads in the block first, esp if they have been exposed. Might have to re thread unless there is enough good thread to clean out. Its a shame they didn't put three bolts in those spots if they weren't equipped with A/C just to preserve the threads. Would have only costs a few cents at the factory.

a few cents makes a big difference on millons of cars. I need to pull my engine and figured i'd add a/c while it was out, was gonna do the b6t but i'll wait on it.

I think its actually the other way around. Every one I've seen with P/S also has A/C. Ive never seen a power steering car without it. My 91 Gl has both
