The search feature doesnt like words with 3 letters or less.
Try using terms like "mazda", "engine", or "mazda engine"

Or someone could explain it and create a useful result for some who actually searches for stuff

I'm on my cell or I'd type it all out, although the Wikipedia link that JPT posted should tell you what you need to know

          1988 323 Station Wagon - KLG4 swapped
          1988 323 GT - B6T Powered
2008 Ford Escape - Rollover Survivor

1990 Festiva - First Ever Completed KLZE swap (SOLD)

If no one from the future stops you from doing it, how bad of a decision can it really be?

The B3 is what comes stock in a Festiva. It is a 1.3 liter engine.
The B6 sohc (single overhead cam) is a common swap to a Festiva. It is basically a bored out out B3, another .3 liter to make it 1.6 liters and there is a dohc (double overhead cam) version too.
The wiki link shows the rest of the B series family of engines.
All can be swapped into a Festiva, depending on how much effort/power you want to put into it. The easiest swap is the B6. The B8, BP, etc require more work to install.
            Then there are the trannys...

            E series...
            F series...
            G series....

Mazda engines that I can remember without researching for you

              B3 1.3L found in festivas 88-93 and Aspires 94 till I don't know
B6 1.6L found in 323 also had a turbo version, can't remember if it had DOHC
B8 1.8L SOHC found in Proteges (also found in a few Festivas including mine)
BP 1.8L DOHC found in a few diff cars, has turbo versions. Also same block as the B8

              Thats all I got
              Going old school...

BP if you don't mind taking a hammer to the firewall. Its not too difficult, much easier than cutting.

                      BP, Aspire brakes, stock trans.

i second the B8 prospect. no firewall mods, no VICS on the intake to deal with, less agressive power band so it won't tear up your trans as bad (not withstanding hard launches and poor driving habits).

X3. The SOHC B8 is a great motor.....plus, its still 16 valve, even though its SOHC.

                            X4 on the B8.

I just finished installing a B8 in mine. It was one of the easiest swaps I've ever done. Get everything you'll need together first and it shouldn't take more than a weekend.
