  • new member greetings

    Hi everyone!
I just got registered and want to say hello. I have a 97 Aspire and a 88 Festiva and a 92 Festiva GL. I just got the 92 a week ago. Ive seen it in the neighborhood for a while and have kept my eye on it. Finally it had a for sale sign in the window and I could'nt believe they only wanted $500 for it. It has a near mint interior, rust free body, rear spoiler, rear cargo cover, factory alloy mags, 5 speed manual and only 102,000 miles. It has the original paint which is bright red accept for the faded rear bumper. It is my 3rd Festiva. Hopefully I will get some photos up soon. Not sure how to post pics yet.

              nice

Every time I see a festiva for sale I get a visual image that it will look like that. Almost always disappointed. Keep hoping that someone bought one new, took care of it, and drove it sparingly. Very few left that nice. Co dos. Welcome to FFC. Ill get over my jealousy soon I hope.

What makes it a gl sport? I just bought a 92 gl and was wondering if it is a sport also.

by the way 2 nice rides.
Lifes journey is not to arrive at the grave safely in a well preserved body, but rather to skid sideways totally worn out, shouting...holy sh!t FESTIVA!!!!!!!

                          thanks to fordfestiva.com for info

I didnt know what made a sport model either till the members pointed out the differences. My new Festy does indeed have an interior that Ive never seen before. It is the standard grey but with a red pattern throughout (seats & door panels) I new it was a GL but I wasnt aware of the sport option, needless to say "I'm a happy camper".

Nice car. I just picked up the same one last Monday. 92 sport. I'm currently going thru the car and making sure everything is reliable. New plugs, wires, cap, rotor, oil, brakes......

Where is Elyria, Ohio located? That car is just like mine. I bought mine on April 24th, an early birthday present for myself. How was yours advertised? Mine had just gotten a sign in the window. Previous owner said a young kid checked it out and said he'd ask his grandma for the $ but he never came back, his loss my gain. I need a rear wiper arm for it, it is missing and a drivers side headlight ( has a bb sized hole in it)
