Don't forget these parts from pre-1990 cars:

Seatbelts! I don't recommend using them as-is since they are now over 22 years old! However, they can be sent to various companies who can rebuild and reweb them. This offers a nice factory look installation when you get the interior parts (next).

Interior to go with manual belts! If you don't grab the interior pieces to go with the old manual seatbelts you'll either have a lot more work to do or you'll have a weird interior with gaps and plastic that doesn't quite "fit." So grab these:

    -headliner
-A,B and maybe C pillar trim (covers all those rectangular holes in the A pillars)
    -rear plastic side panels
-plastic guides with their two screws for each belt where it goes under the plastic
-the e-brake cover/console (slightly different from later cars)

Also, I like to grab the rubber stoppers which fit into the rear shoulder belt holes in the early cars, since these are perfect to put into later cars if you remove the rear seats and seatbelts. Just fills in the upper shoulder belt holes and maybe helps quiet the rear a bit, if you hold your tongue just right and pretend.

The top or bottom is a coin holder and the other is a set of cup holders(Don't remember which is which right now). All the oness of that generation that i have ever seen had them, my 95GL has them. I thinkif they don't have them then they were pulled or were a special order to have them removed.

Something else had a similar set up, i think i have a set out of someting laying around somewhere. I will see if i can find them and let you know what else you can get them out of. I don't think it was a ford, but i think it was American.

So, how do you install the headliner from a pre-90 car into a post 90 car?

The pre-90 cars seemed to have a headliner with bows, ala my '65 Mustang whereas the post 90 cars have a hard headliner ala my '92 Mustang. The headliner in my '65 Mustang really should be installed without the front and rear glass in the car.

This seems to be sort of a downgrade to me, do lots of people swap out the auto belts for manual ones?

I know Mattswab put an older headliner in his blue car (total rebuild) and he also installed manual belts.

You should be able to just stick the old style headliner's fiberglass rods into the upper holes along the roof sill to install the old liner. Make sure you grab all the ancillary pieces from front and rear ends to complete the install.

When you remove the old style liner from an older car you will be able to see how it's done. Just go very slow and don't rip anything. Some pieces may be glued in and need to be removed very carefully. I've taken two out but I haven't installed them into anything yet.

A lot of people absolutely abhor auto seat belts. So if they can swap to manual seat belts, they do.

Early 90's Taurus wagons have the same cargo light and the better dome light, not sure about the cargo hatch switch being the same though.

Hatch latch is not the same.
Get hatch switches from 80s LX Festivas with the cargo light. They have a switch built in with the latch for the cargo light. Wiring for hatch from LX/GL models is necessary for installing rear wiper and also has wires for defrost and aforementioned latch switch.
                        Chrome trim rings for wheels.
Original chrome hubcabs could be desirable.
Intermittent wiper switch and stalk from early 90's proteges.

No INT switch, cruise control, or underseat tray. But my yard has at least 5 festy's, and who knows what else. It's a 20 acre yard. Aside from those parts listed, PM me your requests and offer. I have paypal. I don't mind doing the work pulling the parts. Its therapy for me honestly. Let me know.
