  • What do we call this?

I tried tailgate molding, trim, hatch instead of tailgate..?

It is the plastic above the license plate..

        License plate valence?
What I do know is the screws(?) that hold the glass covers over the light bulbs in that piece are rust frozen and deteriorated well beyond removal/repair on any Festy I've ever had. One day when I've nothing to do I'll take apart my spare hatch to see if there is a simple fix to be had.

I have found a festiva in a U pull, will find out later if it has this part. It is on a 88...do they look like that too? Here they do not rust but plastic can get pretty baked!!!

I may need more than that, the car that needs it will be here monday on the hauler truck.
Everything at the back that is plastic is melted from being to close to a fire. That same
88 has the tailights, bumper but was told this Latch trim-plate light housing, what ever it
is may not be on that car. I tried all the search words you provided, all great ideas but
all we have is a maybe at that yard. Thanks!

I found this on junspeed 's list of parts, it looks like a replacement, but would it look
right without the upper wing? He may have that too, will go back and look

Found this, I don't think we want to drift to far from the stock look, maybe junspeed
has pics with both on the car??
