  • looks like festy will be getting a swap in the VERY near future.

I'm going to look at a 95 escort gt tomorrow. good runner but needs to be towed due to brake fluid leak in rear line or cyl. he says the tranny doesn't have 3rd. comes with 2 sets of wheels and a good engine and transmission from the jy that shows 185 psi across all 4 cylinders.
    $1200 for the lot.

hey htch, whatcha got going in the next month?

Picking out Nos-tiva's motor on Saturday, but we don't have a definite timetable on the build for it yet.... after this week (putting engine in Focus and rebuilding head on Babystiva) I'm free evenings and weekends!
    No festiva for me ATM...

$1200 for a donor car? Seems kinda high to me, usually I look for donor cars around $3-500 that way after scrap you have very little invested lol

      1988 323 Station Wagon - KLG4 swapped
      1988 323 GT - B6T Powered
2008 Ford Escape - Rollover Survivor

1990 Festiva - First Ever Completed KLZE swap (SOLD)

If no one from the future stops you from doing it, how bad of a decision can it really be?

1200 for a running rust free car plus a good engine and a good tranny and 2 sets of mags isn't a bad price considering I should be able to sell the rims for 100 a set and
I'll probably be able to sell/trade the car with the engine and tranny thats in the car for 5-600 to someone wanting to do a swap leaving me with $500 in a good motor and trany for my festy. at the local jy they wanted close to 1000 for a capri xr2 motor and trans with axles and harness.

besides, I plan on offering him 1000 for it but if he's firm I'll pony up the 1200. I've been looking for this motor/trans combo for 6 months and this is only the 3rd one I've found thats close enough to me to go look at. its also the cheapest so far.

but if anybody has one let me know.

the wheels are nice so if anyone wants some 14" 4x100 wheels for their aspire swapped festy, lmk.
