If your pulling the whole beam, why not just cut the whole lower stem of the strut off until you get it home with some power tools to help expedite the process. Just don't cut the strut body itself lol..
On mine, the lower bolt backed out all the way, but the strut came with it! So now I have the bolt out of the nut, you can see the threads on the inside, the bracket bent out with the strut.. it may require welding some reinforcements in when I bend the bracket back into shape.
