  • Finally rolling in a Festiva... New guy from PNW.

Hello fellow Festiva drivers. so yeah, first time caller, long time listener. I joined back in '08 to see how the community was and to check out what people were doing with the vehicles. at that time I decided that I would get a Festiva.

It's not like I couldn't find one all this time, I had other things going and other cars also: 83 BMW E21, 01 Forester, 95 Escort, 82 Starlet, '86 Civic HB SI, 83 VW GTI, a couple others (always getting ribbed for liking "odd cars")... anyway, I just pick up my Festiva last FRI and I'm so glad I did. What a cool ride.

92 GL non-sport. Kept in very nice stock condition, which is how I will keep it pretty much, just a few changes here and there. different steering wheel, weighted shifter knob, probabaly paint the wheels sometime (happy the oem custom wheels came with it), tint windows.... a big maybe on a sliding ragtop.

This thing runs so smooth. po rebuilt the motor around 30000 ago, 5 speed is buttery, interior is not gross, but not great, lol. No cracks in dash. Had new tires put on the day I bought it. Needs a new windshield soon.

Anyhow, enough talk, here it is:

different paint ideas for the wheels... leaning towards the black inserts:

Thanks. Yeah, def the black inserts after I see them again lol. all the wheel detail is not lost.

No pics of my old Starlet. Had all my pics of cars on my cpu at the time, not really any places like photobucket, then my place got robbed. I miss seeing some of my old cars... damn tweekers.

I'm in Federal Way. Gonna be in your area in a couple weeks Movin, visiting my sis in Vancouver. [edit] haha... nevermind, I am thinking of Multnomah Falls. [/edit]

I already have a trip planned to San Diego this coming fall, I'm already thinking I'm gonna roll the Festiva. I5 all the way down, PCH all the way back... that will be cool.

ohh, btw the Festiva set me back $1200

              more pics:

That was a truly awesome deal for $1,200. When I see one in that condition, it makes me want to (gently) remove the interior, install some noise deadening material, return the interior, add a CD player, 4 Infinity Reference 4+1 speakers, add a 100w Tang Band 6.5" subwoofer, and thoroughly enjoy the road trip you mentioned. The I5 is REALLY straight... Well, in California it is. What about the other road you mentioned?

There's a fine line between breathtaking ingenuity and "That's the stupidest thing I've ever seen!"

sounds like a good plan... I need to eventually get a new carpet kit, seat covers and a cd player. This thing came with a nice kenwood cassette player lol

I've done the north part, Olympia WA to Cresent City CA. A wonderful road to drive... right along the coast, windy, beautiful sights.

I've also drove i5 down to LA. It has some very cool sites along the way.
