  • At work in the lab.......Dr. Hatchenstien (insert maniacal laughter here)

    as some of you know I have 2 89 L's. Dr. hatchenstien now has in his possession one of those twins. I have kept one stock mechanicly with a couple of interior upgrades. the one Dr. hatch has is in the lab getting a new brain, heart, and limbs from the graveyard donor bodies of a 95 aspire (limbs) and 95 escort gt (brains and heart)

    the only differance between the 2 twins in one still has the hockey stripe and one has a grey int., the other a tan int. (the one hatch has)

    the new parts I took to hatch were ;

    blue t-belt
    4 kyb's
    gas tank
    water pump
    t-stat
    wheel cylinders
    tie rods
    tie rod ends
    lower control arms w/ball joints
    bushings for above
    rack boots
    header wrap & ties for header thats on the engine already

    used I took;

    running and drivable 95 escort gt
    complete aspire suspention
    4 honda steelies & kumho tires
    wiring harness (from powered by honda)
    half shaft (from greyvw)

    I gave Herr Dr. free reign to create the monster we all know he is capable of.
    I told him to let his crative juices and talents flow and do the engine and bay as he desired mechanicly and appearance wise.

    can't wait till I can say ..........ITS ALLLIVVVVE !!!....wuuuuuhhhaaahhaaahhaaa.

    and see just what the Dr orders, after all many trips were made to the grave yard to rob parts from the dead on this one.

    hopefully pics to come during and after the transformation.

    I'm also torn between 2 names for the twins.

    1) white boy and white lightning
    2) data and lore, after all the only dif. in the 2 is mainly on the inside (motor & interior color)
    admit nothing - deny everything - make accusations

        Is this intended to be a build thread? If so I'll move it to the garage section

        1988 323 Station Wagon - KLG4 swapped
        1988 323 GT - B6T Powered
        2008 Ford Escape - Rollover Survivor

        1990 Festiva - First Ever Completed KLZE swap (SOLD)

        If no one from the future stops you from doing it, how bad of a decision can it really be?

            I'll be in touch about that axle and your trans this weekend. Maybe we can work something out?

            Chris, this isn't a build thread, I'll start the build thread in the garage once I start tearing into it
