I really like getting back into a festy after not driving one for a little while for whatever reason. It's such a a sweet relief.Brian

Well everyone I had an injury while skimboarding the big waves of Sandy 2 weeks ago , to my left knee and couldnt drive my car for a week and a half! it was killing me watching it sit and collect dirt. But today I got my results back from MRI and my ability to bend knee is back still with some trouble. So I washed the car and wheels and went for a drive in the nice cool weather
Here's what happen to my knee

My festy is my only car and I still love driving it everyday. Just when you think your car is complete and you've done all that you want to do..... you think of 10 more things you'd like to do to it. It's like a lego car.-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I get a smile every time i feel that Festiva super lightweight handling, noticably well built mechanical smoothness, magically powerful 63 horsepower acceleration...
I also find it hilarious when i pull up next to a truck at a red light and pull ahead just through normal acceleration ( shifting at 3k ). Especially when i hear them give it more gas to pass me because they don't want to think they wasted all that money on a big "powerful" gas guzzling truck that can't beat a miniature car. :highly_amused:
Before i got my Festiva, i was REALLY into Hondas. I had the highest rated del Sol Si in Missouri on cardomain.com and that Festiva is 5 times more fun to drive than the del Sol ever was.Last edited by Fester's Quest; 01-15-2013, 12:48 AM.

Here's the cardomain link to my old Sol. Click the pics for much higher resolution. The low res pictures don't do it justice.
The website suffered a major crash 3 years ago and it really messed up my profile. I was so aggravated when it happened that i haven't used the website since. I'm not sure what my rating is now.

It's a crying shame that they're no longer reliable/maintenance-free like they were 20 years ago. Unless you're dedicated and persistent it's tough to keep one on the road as a daily driver, especially up in salt country where corrosion is inevitable and relentless. I love driving Festys but some time soon I'm going to have to get a life and spring for a newer vehicle for everyday use and then hang on to one Festy as a seasonal fun car. I have three running ones at the moment and the best one has been oil-sprayed since day one and has purposely not been out in the winter for the past 2 years.

I missed this thread, but I'm right there with you guys. Love DDing all of my Festivas.Driving for me is neither a right nor a privilege. Driving is my passion, as it was for the people who invented the automobile, the people who paved the first roads and the people who continue to improve the automobile. Please respect this passion.

I get thumbs up all the time.. People dont see clean festiva's period. They are always all beat up and you cant see the lettering. I ride it everywhere cause i know no matter what happens i will never be stuck at a red light with the same car!
