Sold your Festiva recently?

Has anyone sold their Festiva in the past 90 days that can maybe email me a bill of sale? My brother's Festiva was totaled recently and the insurance company is not working with me on the price that they are offering because they don't have proof for what Festiva's are going for right now.

I bought my Festiva for $400. It has some rust, and it needed some major suspension work. It needed a new control arm, lower ball joint, tie rod end, and axle. The interior is also not the greatest, it has scratches all over the back side.

All said and done, it costed me about $600, but I did all the work myself. If I had a mechanic do it, it probably would have costed at least $1k. It has 135k on it, and could use a front end alignment.

You can also print out some craigslist ads and cars.com, I know they're not bill of sales, but theyre high dollar asking prices, generally $1500+

I think most people on here pay a lot less for their festivas cause there are a lot of car people willing to do their own work

Yeah that's what I figure. Right now they're offering $1,715.00. I think I should be at least getting $2,000 considering the year, mileage, and what the comparables are right now. He's in Hawaii so cars are quite a bit more over there.

Id personally say $1,750.00 is a good deal. Even tho he prolly has wayyyy more than that in it. But maybe over there things are different.

Take the 1,715.00 and ask how much is the buy back! you can make another 3-600 in parts parting out, along with scrap metal too!

ummmm....he has already sold a bunch of stuff off the car....and the price they are offering is a great deal really. Maybe try and get them to give that price and retain the car. Not sure what he can do since he is already selling stuff from it or how you are able to negotiate with the insurance company for him.

There is a 88 4sp, no rust and no upgrades, stock as can be and about 145 K on it
$1800 firm. I can see if he sold it. Ones like yours have been $2500 to $3000 depending
where you are, didn't this happen in Ha ?? the market should be a little high there
for rust free "pocket rocket" cars..

Mine got totaled and I got over a grand for mine. Print off some craigs ads, ebay adds and show them that this is the running price for them. And im in Michigan, they tried low balling me like a mo fo!
