  • Water in my seats!

I have two holes in my top and it rained really hard in Michigan today and water got in my seats. I was wondering how to get the moisture out of my seats?

I washed the foam cushions from a Malibu once. It took about 4 days in a hot room at work to dry out under heat and continuous air circulation. Your steel seats are unpainted. They will rust, since they are bare metal. I would park the car in the sun, roll up the windows to about an inch from the top for about three or four days. Good luck.

I was thinking about droping the top and letting the sun bake them. Do you think that would work?

Out here the humidity is so low it wouldn't matter what you do it will dry out.
You may need fans under carpet and into upholstry, heat, special
procedures because your humidity makes it difficult to dry things.
Watch out for mold, some insurances will total a vehicle if the right
            kind of mold starts.

I had a seal leak n my drivers door in my seat was soaked. Walmart carrys a bucket called damp rid works great. Comes in hanging sacks too.

Go to a car wash and suck all the water out of the seats and carpet that you can. Take it home, put a fan inside, crack the windows, put the car in a sunny spot and let it alone.
Might also be a good time to pull all the seats and scrub them and pull the carpet out and take it to the car wash and pressure spray it. Did my carpet a while back and it looks like new. The carpet has a coating on the underside that is almost waterproof. If you got water under it, it will take days for it to dry out.
