  • Whats it worth or what would you pay?

91 Festiva L, very good condition, no rust, mechanically A1, 5 speed with 85k miles.
    What would you pay?
It's not mine, it's currently for sale and I'm wondering what a good offer would be (they're asking 1950 or best offer)

Probably worth their asking price...but if they are saying OBO I'd probably offer 1700.

      Got a link?
I'd need more info and a pic before I commit to an answer.
An address and phone number would be better.

10 year ago, I'd have paid $1200. Now, even though the car is now 20 instead of 10, it's worth $1500+... Stupid cash for clunkers!

And probably 99% of those cars weren't clunkers to begin with.

Cash for clunker had nothing to do with it!
It's the price of fuel driving the crazy prices for festivas.

OBO is the best thing that you can read in an ad like that. It just tells me hey don't pay me what I'm asking. You can try to go in low at $1,500 cash today, and they may go for it just to get rid of it. But really they are pretty reasonable if it is in pristine condition $1,700 would be a good deal.

I haven't seen it in person (about 100 miles from me) but she said it has never been driven in the winter, owned by an older couple so it's been babied and sounds like it's pretty dang nice. They said they would take 1600.

1600 sounds like a pretty good deal. I paid 700 for mine and I'm up to over 1000 total just to get the thing to pass inspection. Looks pretty nice and it's awesome that it's never been driven in the winter. Major bonus points there!
