    I'd look into Eastwood.

I just bought an AC/DC inverted TIG with cart and plasma cutter. I'm pretty happy with it so far.
    $1299 shipped with everything.

ARC welders are hot and messy as far as welds go but strong. Great for super thick steel.

    My 2 cents

      Please read this.

That welder looks like a ebay unit you can have on ebay for less - for brand new.

I got a Lincoln migpack 180 , and its a great welder. I think I paid 600 new and its worth every penny;.

Remember that you get what you pay for.

I'm looking for a cheaper tig welder. I would like to be able to neatly weld stainless and aluminum. I.E. manifolds.

Eastwood has coupons online. My neighbor got both machines for under $1k.

I know I didn't need to spend the $, but it makes so much more possible.

A $200 harbor freight "TIG" welder will not work like you would think a real TIG welder would, I'm sure you know that. They're toys at best

I figued that much or I would have got one already. The 90amp flux I have works great to fix an exhaust, or mock something up, but I don't see my manifod lasting forever.
