    Festiva and aspire shifter knobs are the same threads. Yep. Cool story huh?

    Can anyone tell me if the actual shifter is the same, I bet it is, shift linkages may be different lengths though.

      91-96 Escort shift knob is same thread too. MX6/626 shift knob is the same thread too. The old 323/tracer shift knobs are the same thread too. Isuzu I-mark shift knob is the same too. And probably a lot of other asian and/or asian built/engineered cars as well.

          Yea htchbcks story was way cooler! I didn't know, kinda figured they were and today I swapped them out for a second with karls car to check.

          What I think is weird is the "locating" linkage or whatever you call the solid rod, bolts right in place on my g series swap like it was meant to be there, but the shift shaft needs chopped 1 1/2-2" and the universal flipped 90*.

                What's really cool, Mustang shift knobs are different...12X1.75
                But....the headlight bulbs are the same.
