  • What I fit in my festiva the other day

I know everyone here has been amazed at some point at what your festiva can carry, but I thought I would share these photos because after owning a festiva for all this time, this load surprised me. I left the wreckers a little doubtful that I would fit everything inside, but thankfully, it was no problem. A short-legged person could have even sat up front if I wasn't already carting around a case of my friend's books! Festiva has rear seat installed and flipped forward and aspire seats in front.
Parts and stuff stuffed inside are:
    - 626 seats
    - 4 headlights
    - center console storage box
    - 626 intermittent switch with cruise
    - aspire rear seat bottom
    - 2 festiva rear split seats
    - my toolbox

Are the 626 seats an easy install? What year did they come out of?

That's quite a lot of stuff you fit in there. I was pretty impressed with my haul this weekend too.

Rear seat and Rear Hatch...misc other things that were no trouble fitting after the hatch and rear seat were in...and I have a split rear seat installed with one side folded down.

I haven't installed them yet, but I test fit them quickly and got an idea of what I would have to do. You can bolt up the front rail mounts to the stock festiva seat mounts but it tilts the seat to one side considerably, so I will have to cut off one of the front 626 tabs and do some welding to make it a bit taller. The rear will need a bit of custom welding too, especially for the inner rear mount. Not sure about swapping the lower seat frame for the festiva one though, I didn't even think about it because then I would lose all the awesome options that come with the 626 seat.

As for what year? I think they came out of a 88 626? Maybe an 89.

I saw your post the other day! Not many cars can fit their hatchback hatch in and then still close the trunk haha. I was impressed by your haul too!

Unfortunately I didn't notice until about halfway home on my 200+ mile trip that the hatch was rubbing up against the drivers site seat mount...so I do have a little scratch...maybe even a tiny dent there now! No worries though. If I end up painting it it will all be covered up!

You sure can fit a lot more than most would think.

8' long lumber fits in mine with the passenger seat tilted back and the hatch still shuts.

Here is the white board I bought home in mine. bought a damaged sheet and had them cut the bad part off, the rest just fit.

Haven't got pics, but 3 large teenage chums including m'self, in full snow gear, and 3 or 4 sleds. The defroster couldn't keep up and I had to use a towel on the windshield.

Festiva. The biggest small car on the road!

Like scittz said, all kinds of stuff will fit, that you think wont fit!

There is a pic on here somewhere with a full size washing machine in the back, and the hatch closed.
