  • Sweet news!

Well, after driving my Ranger for about... less than a week. I made the decision to put it back into my storage shed, and bring the Festiva back! I thought I would bring the Festiva back to both save money, and mod it out some more. It's just such a fun little car I find it hard to be away from. I'm just afraid about the rust factor. Does anybody have any ideas as to how to help prevent rust on the underside?

Power wash the undercarriage anytime you drive it on salty roads. You can also grab several spray cans of some sort of rust proofing paint and coat the underside before the snow comes.

another thing that works well is spraying it down with heavy weight oil underneath with an old paint gun before winter, then power wash it off at the end of winter.

Are they still using salt back there. Check with your local Highway Dept. They changed from salt to mag chloride here in Colorado a few years back. Just a suggestion.
