        I bypassed the clutch switch [stuck a minifuse in the connection] in my built 86 Mustang so I could start it in neutral without pushing down the clutch pedal to take the pressure off the crankshaft thrust bearing which would have had the oil squeezed off it before oil pressure had built up. I have a very heavy duty clutch in it.
        Cars now days have to be fool proof.
