  • picked up number 2 today

Seen it posted online, it was only 5 minutes down the road from me so I had to get it. Got some interesting features to it. Think the seats are custom, they are comfy but i think they sit up to high. Its automatic, and the engine is pretty gutless so its probably going to need a swap. Going to be a winter beater.

    Yay!

Someone should know for sure where the seats come from. I'm guessing Protege.

Your right Karl, these are the same seats that we have in our car, 91/94 Protege.

Can I ask what you paid? I just looked at a potential #2 tonight, and I can't bring myself to pay what the guy wants... Good find!

You need a Escort wagon gear and arm to drop that wiper on the white car, love the wing.

I got it for $500. They are hard to come by and it was so close I dont think its too bad of a deal. The body is in pretty decent condition. I grew a bunch of root cigrits this summer and sold them so the car was basically free.

haha probably keep the wiper up like that. Never even thought of having it in the lower position.

I guess up where you're at, the up wiper would be an advantage in winter. Down here we get more ice than anything and people always pull up their wipers during the day at work if we have weather coming in.

Swapping the car over to manual is a big undertaking so it may well be good to just leave it alone. My first one (who can turn down a $50 car that has since been driven 100,000 k) was an auto. I've still got it because it refuses to die but it isn't on the road very much. In theory I should be using it as a winter beater so as to give the other Festys a break from the salt.
